Conservation = Do Your Part

The NGC remains committed to providing scholarships to Nantucket students. The first scholarship of $500 was awarded in 1973. The amount of funds allocated for scholarships and the eligibility requirements have evolved over the years. Currently, the Club grants tuition scholarships of varying amounts every year to Nantucket High School Graduates and Alumni. The Club’s Scholarship Chair works with the Nantucket High School Guidance Department to make students aware of our scholarships and the requirements. Applicants must show academic proficiency in their studies and pursue studies with a major in Ecology, Landscape Design, Environmental Studies or Botany. Thanks to the generosity of the Family of Elizabeth C. Murray, The Nantucket Garden Club was able to grant an additional $1,000 award to a student of the committee’s choice for the years 2019-2023.
